About my paintings:
Color is the main component in all of my works. My
paintings are framed by geometric patterns inspired
by landscapes. Distances are created by composing
flat elements in subdued hues. I often use the
“push-pull colors” to enhance the depth.
Training and Shows:
I began my art career by painting portraits on
commission. I studied portrait and landscape
painting at the Chitra Mandir Art Institute in India.
In recent years, I switched from oil and watercolor
to acrylic and impasto styles using palette knives.
I regularly donate art to several charitable causes.
I have previously participated in art exhibitions in
India's National Centre for Performing Arts, the
Mood Indigo cultural festival, and other art shows.
My goal at this show is to introduce my painting
technique, and I hope to get my paintings shown
on as many local walls as I can.
Concept:
I have always wondered why people like or dislike
paintings. It made me consider how feelings,
vision, and a little science relate to one another. I
also analyzed the works of colorists Wolf Kahn,
Milton Avery, Rothko, and Nicolas de Stael.
As a result, my compositions have a passive tone
and gradually elicit a parasympathetic response.
In terms of technique, my compositions use
subtle contrasting tones to guide saccades.
