Born and raised in rural farmland outside of Buffalo, New York, Susan began her art studies during high school and supplemented school work with oil painting lessons on Saturday mornings with best friend Michele Eckert Dunn.
Some thirty years later after a corporate career, she is fulfilling a lifelong yearning to spend time drawing and painting. Inspired by her current teacher, Kay Stanley, and the other students in her class, Susan is evolving her drawing skills and watercolor techniques. Her creativity is reflected in her drawings and paintings. Susan’s home studio, Fox Squirrel Studio is located south of Atlanta in rural Georgia. The nearby towns of Brooks and Senoia can take one back in time. The studio was named for the magnificent fox squirrels that can be seen from the studio windows. One glimpse will give insight to a wonderfully creative maker. The natural surroundings around the studio give inspiration to all who visit. |
