Linda was born and raised in the suburbs of Atlanta, Georgia, on sweet tea and grits. Her career began in the graphic arts industry, where she spent over 20 years working in composition and training employees, followed by more than 15 years in the corporate world. After retiring, she returned to her first love—painting.
Linda’s artistic journey began in the 1980s with oil painting classes and has since grown into a daily practice. She primarily works in acrylics while also exploring oils, watercolors and mixed media. Known for her expressive palette knife textures, her style blends realism, impressionism, abstraction, and whimsical, jazz-inspired elements. She is currently enjoying the refreshing challenge of plein air painting. Painting is both a creative outlet and a source of calm for Linda, helping to soothe the soul and ease anxiety. She loves sharing her passion through “Jazzy Art” paint parties, bringing art instruction to homes, churches, offices, and community groups. One of her most memorable experiences was teaching large classes aboard an airplane at the Delta Museum. Memberships:
