Martin Pate

Martin was born in South Carolina. He graduated from Ringling School of Art in Sarasota, Florida in 1981. He has worked as a professional artist since then.

Martin’s ability to paint people and historic sites led to more than 25 years of commissions with the National Park Service. Paintings of Native Americans, Civil War battles, Paintings of the Battle of the Little Bighorn and many others are used by the National Park Service for educational purposes.

Martin does commissioned portraits as well as gallery paintings. His gallery paintings include the figure as well as southern landscapes and occasional interiors and still-life.

He and his wife Rhonda live in Newnan, GA.
