I am a local, self taught jewelry artist. I live in Moreland Georgia with my husband Kyle, two horses and three dogs. We have two children, Brooke and Casey and three granddaughters, Madison, Hannah and Katie.

I’ve drawn, painted, knitted and cross stitched all my life. A few years ago I was craving something new to do and stumbled upon photographs of chainmaille jewelry on the internet and was immediately intrigued with not only the art but the history. I ordered a beginning pattern and as I started making my first bracelet I was totally hooked.

In chainmaille, small rings are woven together one by one. Each ring is opened with pliers, worked into its proper place and then closed. I taught myself the traditional weaves one by one. As I became more skilled I began designing my own pieces using the traditional weaves as a starting point. When crafted to perfection a sterling silver chainmaille bracelet will take your breath.

Chainmaille for me is now a passion. Once upon a time knights wore chainmaille for protection in battle. Today it’s much more beautiful – made from rings of sterling silver, bronze, copper or brass – woven into weaves that never cease to amaze. The technique is ancient. The result is a timeless chain work of art. A little piece of history you can wear.

I hope to bring about more awareness of the unique beauty of chainmaille and strive to make jewelry that is as much a pleasure to wear as it is to behold.
