Anita Rolenc Reid Info Tag

Anita was raised on a farm in the mid-west as one of nine children, it was important to use you hands and imagination to create.

Both of my grandmothers were artists in their own right by sewing clothes and quilts. My Mother made her patterns to sew clothes for her nine children out of feed and seed bags. I was always amazed what Mom could do with those pieces of material. She also took lots of pictures and developed her own film. Her dark room was a closet. She always put one of the nine kids outside the door in order to guard it so no one opened it. I remember the solution that she used really smelled bad. But it was so much fun to see the pictures once they were developed. I have lots of those old pictures and treasure them. Mom won several contest on her pictures. Once she won a big prize on one of her pictures. I have since painted it.

Anita is also a Photographer and enjoys doing Digital Art. She loves teaching people how to use their cameras and take pictures. She works her art in all mediums. She loves them all.
