On June 19th, the Newnan-Coweta Art Association hosted their 50th Anniversary Gala and Juried Show Reception for artists and guests to enjoy the finest art work produced by its members. Each year, NCAA members submit up to 3 works of art that they have produced within a 2 year period. Judges accept these works based on quality and artistic merit in the categories of Painting, Sculpture, Photography and Mixed Media.
Over 120 works were accepted into this year’s show, and 66 artists were on display at the Donald W. Nixon Centre for the Arts through the month of June. The grand prize winner for Best in Show was awarded to David Boyd Jr. for his work “Elevated”
